A native of Edmonton, Tashie has built a lifelong career in volleyball as both a decorated athlete and an accomplished coach.
As a player, she competed for Edmonton-area club teams before representing Team Alberta for two summers. She went on to play her CIAU (now U Sports) career with the University of Alberta Pandas from 1996–2001. During her five years with the Pandas, she was an integral part of their historic run of six consecutive national titles, capturing four National Championships in 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000.
Tashie has carried that championship mindset into her coaching career. Since 2015, she has been a Head Coach with the Pandas Volleyball Club, leading her 18U team to Provincial Championship in 2023. She was also the Head Coach of Team Alberta (2021–2025), guiding her squads to the podium at three Canada Cups: Bronze in 2022, Silver in 2024, and Gold in 2025. In 2025, she joined the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) as an Assistant Coach.
Her leadership and contributions to the sport were recognized in 2025 when she received the R.G. Glassford Coaching Award from University of Alberta Athletics.
Tashie holds a Bachelor of Physical Education, is NCCP Advanced Development Coach certified, and NCCP Performance Coach trained.
Outside of volleyball, she works full-time as a PMP-certified Project Manager at the University of Alberta and enjoys spending her free time laying on a beach, usually in Huntington Beach, California.
