The PANDAS Volleyball Club does NOT charge a tryout fee.
Instead, the Pandas Volleyball Club is supporting a cause that is important to us. We are raising funds for the Hope Mission's Annual Christmas Campaign. For just $2.70, an athlete can provide a holiday meal to someone less fortunate in Edmonton. A donation of $16.20 feeds 6 people, $32.40 helps 12 people, etc.
Click on the link below to provide meal(s) to HOPE Mission – in lieu of a tryout fee. The link will take you to the HOPE Mission on-line donation site (you will receive a tax receipt for your on-line donation). Add your donation amount and type in Pandas Volleyball Club in the field that prompts, "What inspired your gift today?" We will also have a donation box at every tryout.
Thank you for your generosity!
What to Expect from the Pandas Volleyball Club's Tryout Process:
Our team coaches, along with our Club's coach mentors/advisors, will be evaluating and encouraging potential club athletes during the tryout process. While the coaches of the respective teams will be making final selections of athletes to their teams, the selection process will be a committee effort. Our committee will be evaluating athletes based on athleticism, upward and future potential, excellence, work ethic and skills. Our tryout committee will be looking for our "future leaders in women's volleyball".
We recognize that tryouts are a stressful time for everyone involved. At each tryout session, our coaches will communicate with the athletes in attendance to let them know if they believe that an athlete will definitely (offered a spot), might possibly (invited to attend next tryout) or won't be a good fit for their team. This way, athletes who won't be a good fit (e.g. if there are too many athletes for an available position) can pursue tryout opportunities with other clubs.
