Competitive in multiple sports from a young age, Danielle thrives on every aspect that comes with being a multi-sport athlete: time management, focus and dedication; however, despite her love for many sports, the strategy, power, and grace, were just a few of the reasons Danielle chose to focus on volleyball.
In Jr. High she was awarded Athlete of the Year, and in grades 10, 11, and 12, she was the recipient of the Eagles Scholarship which primarily focused on volunteering, leadership, and athletic contributions to the school. Throughout Junior High Danielle played for the NOOKS volleyball club, and, in grade 10, she played her first season with the Pandas (16U).
Determined to excel in volleyball, Danielle committed to weight training, extra reps in the gym through VCCE (now REP), and tried out for Team Alberta at 16U. Danielle continued to play her 17U and 18U season with the Pandas. Her 18U team won Provincials and placed 3rd at Nationals.
After her 18U season with the Pandas, Danielle continued playing throughout the summer with Team Alberta (18U) where her team placed 2nd at Nationals.
While still in High School, Danielle signed with The Kings University where she would go on to play two successful seasons, advancing each year to compete at Provincials.
In order to further her athletic and coaching passions, Danielle is a certified NCCP Level 1 volleyball, swimming, and multi-sport coach; she is also a certified AVA official.
Currently, Danielle has transitioned from playing volleyball to focus on school and work: she is a full time student at the University of Alberta completing her Bachelor of Commerce, and she is working part time.
Nevertheless, she remains just as passionate about volleyball and coaching. Danielle is excited to coach the amazing young women in the coming Pandas season!
