Christine Symth (nee Biggs)





Christine began playing indoor volleyball at Ross Sheppard High School and for the Griffins Juvenile club team. She played beach volleyball during her summers. Christine began playing her college career at Grant MacEwan College (Outside Hitter and Middle positions) and after taking a few years off to travel, was picked up at Red Deer College as an Outside and Middle, then moved forward to the U of A Pandas as a Libero where she was a member of the 2007 National Championship Team. 



Christine has Head Coached for various high school and club teams from the 13-18U level. She has coached and directed summer camps with Grant MacEwan, University of Alberta, and Alberta Volleyball. She has been a member of the Team Alberta coaching staff for both indoor and beach volleyball for several seasons and coaches at Alberta Volleyball High Performance and Identification camps. She holds a Bachelor of Physical Education, a Bachelor of Education, is an NCCP Level II Coach, and is First Aid certified. 

Christine currently sits on the Alberta Volleyball Association Athlete Development Committee, and is part of the ASAA 50th anniversary committee, recognizing 50 seasons of ASAA volleyball competition. She is a teacher and coached the Sr. Women's volleyball team and the boys and girls Beach Volleyball teams at Harry Ainlay High School. Christine is embarking on obtaining her Master's Degree in Coaching and is currently an Assistant Coach of the University of Alberta Pandas Volleyball Team.

Christine has been a Pandas Volleyball Club Coach from 2010 - present.
